Montana Mission Trip

This is an opportunity to serve with a new church plant in Glendive, Montana. Pastor John Corder is from Kershaw County and was a member of our association before going to Montana.

The purpose of trip would be to encourage John and his family, to assist him with outreach into the community, and possibly assist with physical needs at his church facility.

The community surrounding the church does not readily accept those from outside and hosting community events will help to establish the church in the community as a caring group of believers. There are very few churches in the community, and their church is very small, with about 20 members. Our hope is to be a partner in building some trust between the community and the church.

Family Mission Trips

Malvern Hill plans a Family Mission Trip each summer. These trips are designed for the entire family. We believe that it is important for families to learn to do ministry together and to serve together on the mission field.

Family Mission Trips are designed to be affordable with opportunities for each person in the family to have a place to serve. Service opportunities might be backyard bible clubs, construction and clean-up, nursing home ministry, and community mission engagement.

Our Family Mission Trips have gone to Clarkston, GA and Cleveland, TN.

This year, we will partner with Ocoee Outreach in Southeast Tennessee. Ocoee Outreach is a community ministry that provides free home repair to low-income home owners living in Southeast Tennessee. Through the restoration of houses, we believe we can accomplish the greater restoration of hearts and homes now and for eternity. Our desire is to share to Gospel of Christ with everyone we encounter. Our goal is to use the tools of home repair and community outreach for children, seniors and families to introduce them to Jesus Christ! Learn more about their ministry here.

Latvia Missions

The Tolbert family has answered the call to "GO" and serve as missionaries to Latvia through the International Mission Board since 2017. They continue to serve faithfully there, and it is the desire of our church to support them with a mission team this summer. Of course, world events could complicate any plans, but we will make every effort to send a small team to Riga, Latvia this summer to help facilitate a Bible School, minister to the Tolberts, and perhaps even aid in ministry to refugees displaced by the invasion of Ukraine.

Malvern Hill joyfully supports this family as their sending church. Please join us in supporting them with your prayers.

Our church has on-the-ground partnership with the Tolberts to send ministry assist teams to Latvia. Through this partnership, we have had the opportunity to reach the lost youth in the community as well as other opportunities to witness to family members of the youth.

Edinburgh, Scotland

For more than a decade now, Malvern Hill has maintained a partnership with the Heralds Trust ministry in Edinburgh, Scotland. Through that partnership, more than twenty people from our church have traveled to Scotland to serve with the Heralds Trust.

The Heralds Trust began in the 1950s with a group of young Christians who formed a band to play Christian music. Since that time, the Heralds Trust has spend most of its ministry as a proclamation evangelism ministry focused on street evangelism, crusades, and evangelism training. In recent years, the Heralds Trust has also begun to focus attention on church planting and discipleship. Find out more about the Herald's Trust here.

We partner with the Herald’s Trust ministry to teach and train you to share the Gospel effectively and without fear in an increasingly needy world. You will learn practical ways to start conversations and share your faith with others from your experienced group leader. Then you’ll have the opportunity to put your faith to work on the streets of Edinburgh, Scotland. This trip is your training ground to work out your fears and build your faith with others as you escape the norm, focus on Jesus, and tell others more about him.

Part of the mission statement of Malvern Hill is "Change the world." Our church takes the Great Commission of Matthew 28:16-20 and the Acts 1:8 mission mandate seriously. We are actively seeking to find ways to impact our community, state, nation, and the world through mission efforts.
