If your child/children will be at least 8 years old but no older than 12 by July 8, and if you are interested in sending them to Camp Longridge this summer, please complete this form by April 14. 

Children will lodge with college-age counselors. Those applying to be counselors are carefully screened before being chosen, Our children's ministry director will be on site but will sleep in separate lodgings as required by Camp.

If you would like to check out Camp Longridge online, you may go to www.camplongridge.com. The camp is located about 15 miles from Lugoff in Ridgeway.

On Children's Sunday, the children will help lead in worship and the rising 6th graders will be recognized on stage. Families and Kids on the Hill ministry volunteers are invited to stay for lunch. 

Children will practice for Children's Sunday on Wednesday, July 24, 6:30-7:30 PM, in the sanctuary. 

Students on the Hill will host a pool party for the rising 6th graders at the Colvin's pool. This is a fun way to meet some of the other youth and spend time getting to know one another.

6th Graders Move Up to Student LifeGroups

Students on the Hill will host the annual Flashlight Night to welcome the rising 6th graders to the Student Ministry! This fun kick-off event starts at 6:00 PM and will meet in the gym. Be sure to wear black and bring a flashlight! You don't want to miss it!

Kids on the Hill will host the annual Water Night event to kick off the new church year in the Children's Ministry. All Kids on the Hill kids, ages preschool-5th grade, are invited to participate. Bring a swim suit or a change of clothes and be prepared to get wet! you will need a towel for the ride home! Supper will be served. 

Each week, we have a number of opportunities for our children to experience ways that they can grow in their understanding of God and their relationship with Him:

Sunday Morning - Children's Worship

During our 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM worship services, preschool and children's groups attend worship with the rest of our church family and then are dismissed for their own time of worship. While children are welcome to stay with their parents during worship, Children's Worship allows them to have a time of singing and teaching that is applicable for their age. Nursery is available during the entire service for those younger than preschool-age.

Sunday Morning - LifeGroups

From 9:45-10:45 AM every Sunday morning, our children who are between the ages of 15-months and 5th grade have LifeGroups where they participate in age-appropriate lessons that teach them the truths of God's Word. You can find a list of these LifeGroups here. Nursery is also available during this time for those children younger than 15-months old.

Sunday Evening - Children's Worship

On most Sunday evenings during the school year, our children have a children's choir that meets at 6:00PM. There are separate preschool and elementary age choirs, but both of them use resources like Seeds Family Worship to help our children meditate on God's Word and memorize it.

Wednesday Evening - Kids 4 Christ

On Wednesday nights at 6:30PM, our Children's Ministry has activities for preschool age children. 5K through 5th graders have a Bible club where they study the Bible and plan and participate in mission activities.

We partner with an area school to provide weekend food bags to students in need. If you would like to participle in this ministry, contact us about upcoming packing dates or other ways you can be involved. 

Every year Malvern Hill Baptist Church sponsors a Vacation Bible School for children 2-years-old through having completed 6th grade. Children experience a wonderful time each night with Bible study, worship rally, crafts, recreation, and dinner. This event is completely free as a way for us to bless our community and teach children about the good news of Jesus Christ.

VBS 2025 will be announce in January. We are already planning for our next VBS!
