Winter Blast
at Camp Longridge
Friday-Saturday
December 13-15
Winter Blast, a weekend Christmas Camp for 8-12 year olds, will be Friday, December 13 through Sunday, December 15 at Camp Longridge.
The children will leave for camp from Malvern Hill after school that Friday and will return to Malvern Hill during the 11:00 worship service that Sunday morning.
If you would like your child to attend, please complete the form below. A non-refundable fee of $65.00 is due along with this form. The church will pay the remaining fee. The fee pays for lodging, food, and activities.
Deadline for filling out this form, getting the online registration information, and registering online is November 3, 2024.
If you would like to check out Camp Longridge online, you may go to www.camplongridge.com. The camp is located about 15 miles from Lugoff in Ridgeway.

Sundays at 5:00 PM
Kids ages 5K through 5th grade are invited to begin practicing music for the Christmas season!
Family Dedication Services
As a church family, we take Family and Child Dedication seriously because we believe that children are a blessing and that our calling as parents is one of the most important callings that God places on the life of his followers. The word “dedication” means to consecrate or set someone apart for the purpose of honoring God. Therefore, when we have family and child dedication, we are declaring our desire to raise a child in the knowledge and understanding of the Lord. We incorporate this time as part of our worship service because dedication should be done within the context of a church family who will commit to walking with you, holding you accountable, and providing wisdom, guidance, and help as you seek to raise your children. Children's Ministry - Weekly Opportunities
Each week, we have a number of opportunities for our children to experience ways that they can grow in their understanding of God and their relationship with Him:
Sunday Morning - Children's Worship
During our 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM worship services, preschool and children's groups attend worship with the rest of our church family and then are dismissed for their own time of worship. While children are welcome to stay with their parents during worship, Children's Worship allows them to have a time of singing and teaching that is applicable for their age. Nursery is available during the entire service for those younger than preschool-age.
Sunday Morning - LifeGroups
From 9:45-10:45 AM every Sunday morning, our children who are between the ages of 15-months and 5th grade have LifeGroups where they participate in age-appropriate lessons that teach them the truths of God's Word. You can find a list of these LifeGroups here. Nursery is also available during this time for those children younger than 15-months old.
Sunday Evening - Children's Worship
On most Sunday evenings during the school year, our children have a children's choir that meets at 6:00PM. There are separate preschool and elementary age choirs, but both of them use resources like Seeds Family Worship to help our children meditate on God's Word and memorize it.
Wednesday Evening - Kids 4 Christ
On Wednesday nights at 6:30PM, our Children's Ministry has activities for preschool age children. 5K through 5th graders have a Bible club where they study the Bible and plan and participate in mission activities.
Sacks of Love
We partner with an area school to provide weekend food bags to students in need. If you would like to participle in this ministry, contact us about upcoming packing dates or other ways you can be involved.

Vacation Bible School
Every year Malvern Hill Baptist Church sponsors a Vacation Bible School for children 2-years-old through having completed 6th grade. Children experience a wonderful time each night with Bible study, worship rally, crafts, recreation, and dinner. This event is completely free as a way for us to bless our community and teach children about the good news of Jesus Christ.
VBS 2025 is "Magnified!" We are already planning for our next VBS!
